In the last few weeks, faith-based movies have received an increased reception, thanks to War Room, the hugely successful movie by the Kendrick brothers (Stephen and Alex).
But a new one is in cinemas now! This time co-produced by TD Jakes and Joe Roth, Miracles from Heaven. An official synopsis by Sony Pictures tells what the movie is about this way:
MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN is based on the incredible true story of the Beam family. When Christy (Jennifer Garner) discovers her 10-year-old daughter Anna (Kylie Rogers) has a rare, incurable disease, she becomes a ferocious advocate for her daughter’s healing as she searches for a solution. After Anna has a freak accident, an extraordinary miracle unfolds in the wake of her dramatic rescue that leaves medical specialists mystified, her family restored and their community inspired.
The film stars Jennifer Garner, Kylie Rogers, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Eugenio Derbez, and Queen Latifah.
Officially released yesterday, March 16th, by Columbia Pictures, the movie has received positive reviews from many media outlets including the New York Times and the Huffington Post. The movie is already in cinemas around the world including Silverbird Cinemas in Nigeria and Ghana. Here is a trailer of the movie below:
